Dr. Kristi Prince, ND, IBCLC

Dr. Kristi Prince, ND, IBCLC is a registered Naturopathic Doctor, graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2012. After graduation she completed a 2-year residency at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to completing her naturopathic studies, she attended McMaster University where she received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

In her private practice, she enjoys working with people to address a variety of chronic health conditions, though her real passion lies in treating women's health, with further training in managing women's health concerns like: menstrual issues, menopause, fertility and gynecology. Kristi holds an Advanced training certificate in Functional and Personalized Hormone Restoration Therapy through the LP3 network. She acknowledges the individuality of hormonal imbalances and has a thorough understanding of personalized, bioidentical hormone restoration therapies.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she also provides breastfeeding support, having completed the Lactation Medicine Program at the International Breastfeeding Centre under the mentorship of Dr. Jack Newman.

Kristi is an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is a registered member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). She has met the Standard of Practice for Prescribing as per the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), which allows her to prescribe bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, desiccated thyroid hormone and perform B12 injections.

Kristi is passionate about supporting her patients on their journey to optimal health, however her most rewarding job is being a mother to her daughter and son.

Dr. Alison Cockerill ND

Alison Cockerill

Dr. Alison Cockerill, ND graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto. Her experience with the ways in which religion relates to health, piqued her interest a holistic, natural approach to medicine. Alison went on to complete the 4-year post-graduate Doctor of Naturopathy at the accredited, Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). During this time, she completed 1,200 hours of supervised clinical experience at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. She also provided supervised clinical care to underserviced populations at the Queen West Community Health Centre, Toronto.

Alison believes that healing is a journey that we all experience in our own unique way. It is therefore, important to her, that each patient is treated in a holistic and personalized manner. The naturopathic approach combines evidence-based treatments with individualized care and the consideration that every aspect of our lives (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual) impacts our overall health and wellness.

Alison works with a wide variety of health concerns including but not limited to: hormone imbalances, infertility, digestive complaints, skin conditions, mental health concerns and weight management. During her time at CCNM, Alison also became a mother. This gave rise to her passion for using her skills as a naturopathic doctor to address infertility, support preconception health and treat children of all ages. Alison believes in building a truly integrative healthcare system and she would be honoured to be part of your healthcare team!

Marissa Wopereis, RMT

Marissa is a Cobourg native and resident - she graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy School in Toronto in 2010. Her program included specialty clinical practice working with clients with MS (multiple sclerosis) chronic pelvic pain and high-risk pregnancy. She received training in advanced sports techniques, which she incorporates in her own sports of hockey and cycling.

Since graduation she has taken courses on advanced scar work, advanced techniques for TMJ (tempormandibular jaw) syndrome, and Kinesio Taping.

Carolyn Higginson, MSW, RSW

Carolyn Higginson, MSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker with over 12 years experience working in the mental health field. Carolyn holds a Master of Social Work degree from McGill University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Queen’s University. Practicing from a strength-based, anti-oppressive framework, Carolyn employs a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy and uses elements of CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness in her work with adult clients.

Clients who value a holistic approach to therapy tend to be drawn to Carolyn, especially if they are working through a transition such as divorce, life change, or health status.

Sara Coyle, MSW, RSW

Sara Coyle, M.S.W., RSW is a registered Social Worker who has experience working with children, youth, and adults using an attachment and trauma-focused lens. Sara uses a holistic, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive approach with her clients. She focuses on creating strong therapeutic connections with people in a nonjudgmental, accepting, and empathetic way. Sara draws from various evidenced-based approaches, including Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). These approaches help her adult clients manage their anxiety and daily stressors, develop coping skills, and process challenging life experiences.

Sara is also trained in using a Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) model and utilizes this approach in her work with families. This model aims to support children and youth who have faced difficult childhood experiences or who are struggling to develop and maintain healthy relationships with their parents or caregivers. Children and youth often show us that they are struggling through their challenging behaviours. Sara seeks to understand these difficulties with empathy and has a goal of strengthening the parent-child relationship. With that, the relationship becomes the vehicle for change and positive growth.

Kate Moebus, MCP, RP

Kate Moebus, MCP, RP, is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 7 years of experience in the field of mental health. She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Adler University, as well as an undergraduate degree in International Development from Dalhousie University.

Dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment, Kate offers confidential, evidence based, individual and group therapy to people who have experienced PTSD, anxiety, anger, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and substance misuse. Kate draws on a variety of trauma-informed modalities including: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). 

It is Kate’s belief that the very purpose of psychotherapy is to heighten interpersonal awareness and encourage further development of coping strategies, in order to live a more fulfilling, and deeply satisfying life. She is looking forward to providing guidance in this process!

Sherry Heenan, PT

Sherry has been a practicing physiotherapist since 2009 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University.

She takes pride in her work and is passionate about empowering and helping individuals achieve their activity and wellness goals. She is a highly trained, registered Physiotherapist and provides an array of comprehensive services within her field. She has a special interest and extra training in pelvic floor physiotherapy and pain management. Within pelvic floor physiotherapy she can effectively treat conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, persistent back/hip/pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, and prenatal/postnatal preparation and recovery.

Sherry uses an integrative approach with hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic movement, and education to help facilitate the healing process and give her clients the necessary tools to help them on their healing journey. If you are needing some assistance then she is here to support and encourage you.

On a more personal note, she is married to a supportive husband with two beautiful little girls and she enjoys camping, cottaging, reading, and yoga.

Krissy Cooper - Clinic Care Coordinator

Krissy graduated from Trillium College with Honours, having completed the Medical Office Assistant Course. She has worked in various clinical environments for over nine years now, and brings a great deal of expertise and experience to her role as Patient Care Coordinator at Nurturing Health Naturopathic Clinic.

In her free time, Krissy enjoys drawing and working out. She loves spending time with her husband Brandon, her daughter Ava, and their dog Frankie.

Jennifer Linton, CNP - Certified Nutritional Practitioner

Jennifer Linton is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and an honours graduate from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Ottawa, Ontario. Jennifer also has an education background in Fitness & Health Promotion, for which she has a Diploma received from St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario.

Jenn has a passion for food and for creating healthy recipes and resources in order to support and educate her clients. She specializes in working with digestive issues, food sensitivities, weight management, and working towards sustainable lifestyle changes. She also specializes in women's wellness and loves supporting women through all stages of life, including providing prenatal and postpartum dietary support. Jenn has a nutrition blog, Jennuine Holistic Nutrition, where she posts healthy recipes and nutrition resources. She strives to establish a comfortable space for her clients in all aspects of her practice. Part of this is advocating that health should be tangible and sustainable. Jenn believes that your health journey is completely yours and absolutely unique. That health should be simple and health should be Jennuine.
